DESIGNED AROUND THE LIFT.
NEVER ADAPTED TO IT.
Controller protocols, shaft wiring, car power supplies, EMC conditions and the service life a lift installation demands: every product starts there. Standard products are manufactured in the USA; custom design, interfaces and support come from the UK.
FROM DRAWING
TO DIRECT FIT
-
SpecificationTELL US THE CAR, THE CONTROLLER AND THE LOOK
Catalogue products are configured by part-number suffix: size, colour, mounting, interface. Where the catalogue does not fit, our engineers work from your drawings, the old unit or site photographs.
-
Custom designFACEPLATES · ADAPTERS · BRACKETS
Bespoke hardware beyond the standard range: custom faceplates and adapters, new fixtures and brackets that fit the openings you already have, and one-off indicators such as traditional sweep dials driven by modern electronics.
-
ManufactureBRYAN, OHIO
Standard products are built at the C.E. Electronics facility in the USA. Direct-replacement units are engineered to match existing stud patterns and wiring, like-for-like or upgraded, so a display swap does not become a fixture rebuild.
-
SupportFOR THE SERVICE LIFE
Wiring diagrams, commissioning assistance and ongoing engineering support wherever the installation is. Documentation is maintained for legacy products so a twenty-year-old display can still be matched, replaced or interfaced.
THREE WAYS TO
SHOW A FLOOR
LED segment
Bright, classic numeric and arrow indication. Low cost, long life, instantly readable across a lobby. Horizontal and vertical formats, including Otis-style replacements.
Dot matrix
Flexible floor labels, arrows and scrolling messages from one to three characters, 25mm to 75mm high. The proven workhorse for modernisation.
Full-colour TFT
Graphics, video and touch from 4.3" to 18.5". Configurable layouts, branding, passenger information and destination-dispatch interfaces.
SPEAKS EVERY
CONTROLLER
Protocol converters and interface boards link displays to lift controllers, whatever is in the machine room: Otis 401 and 411-style, Otis Data Link, Dover, Ethernet bank interfaces for up to 8 cars and MICRO COMM 3-wire networks driving up to 30 remote displays.
Signalling to
current standards
Passing chimes, arrival gongs and digitised voice announcers that meet ADA and DDA requirements, with multi-language announcements, tactile and high-contrast options. Direction and arrival signalling to EN 81-70 for new installations and modernisations.
Integrated into
the fixture
Keypad, proximity card and fob systems with per-floor access restrictions, built into the car operating panel rather than bolted on. Relay systems from a single landing to 32 landings, with handheld and PC-based programmers to manage users across a building.
KEEP THE SHAFT.
CHANGE WHAT PASSENGERS SEE.
Indicators, displays and signalling are upgraded while the car, guides and controller stay in place. Otis, Dover and legacy controllers are bridged with interface cards; new units are built to the old stud pattern.
Survey
Send the old unit, drawings or photographs. We identify the fixture, wiring and controller.
Match the fit
Stud patterns, cut-outs and wiring are confirmed before anything is built.
Engineer the interface
Controller bridge cards are specified for legacy protocols so the new display reads the existing signals.
Manufacture
Direct-fit units built in the USA to the agreed specification and finish.
Install support
Wiring diagrams and commissioning assistance from the UK engineering team.
INTELLIGENCE
OF DISPATCH
Through Peters Research, the group owns Elevate, the industry-standard lift traffic analysis and simulation software, and Elevate Dispatch, its all-in-one destination-control engine. We can model a building before a group is specified, prove a modernisation will improve service, and supply the touchscreens and system controllers to run it.
QUESTIONS
ANSWERED
What does a lift indicator modernisation with Elevate Electronics involve?
Five steps: a survey from the old unit, drawings or photographs; matching the stud pattern, cut-out and wiring; engineering a controller interface for legacy protocols; manufacturing direct-fit units in the USA; and installation support with wiring diagrams and commissioning assistance from the UK. The car, guides and controller stay in place.
Do you design custom lift fixtures and faceplates?
Yes. Engineers in the UK design bespoke faceplates, adapters, brackets and fixtures that fit the openings you already have, plus one-off indicators such as traditional sweep dials driven by modern electronics.
Where are Elevate Electronics products made and supported?
Standard products are manufactured by C.E. Electronics Inc. in Bryan, Ohio, USA. Specification, custom design, controller interfaces and engineering support come from Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, UK.
Do your indicators and signalling meet accessibility standards?
Yes. Passing chimes, arrival gongs and digitised voice announcers meet ADA and DDA requirements, with EN 81-70 direction and arrival signalling, multi-language announcements and tactile and high-contrast options.
